Programme will increase participants’ level of knowledge about legislations, policies and professional guidelines for complying and sustaining standards for moving and handling. Participants will have opportunity for developing better skills through practice experience for moving and handling animate and inanimate objects in order to prevent harm and injury to self, others and equipments/properties.
Who should attend?
Open to everyone, but would particularly benefit those whose duty requires them to frequently lift, carry or move objects from one position to another. Or those that work in health and social care settings, who regularly support, turn or move people in and out of bed and across a distance either manually or by equipment.
